On-road test of Winglet - ACL

Currently, our new Winglet ACLs for gliders are undergoing trials in Adelaide / South Australia.

A Schleicher ASH 25 is being used for these trials.

The technology for these ACLs has been newly developed wholly in coordination with the flight safety inspectors belonging to the DAeC.
Here the unique feature is that the entire light is emitted at an angle of +60° > 0° > -60° towards the front while taking into account the major source of danger, namely the frontal collision; however, it does not cause any dazzle to the cruising pilot.
